With over 20 years of experience in software development, I combine technical expertise with a passion for creating beautiful, functional solutions. From founding and scaling a tech company to working internationally in San Francisco, I’ve developed a comprehensive understanding of software development.

Today, I focus on crafting thoughtful web experiences with modern technologies like Kirby CMS and AstroJS, always striving to balance reliability, aesthetics, and simplicity. My approach is holistic – I don’t just write code, I help bring complete digital visions to life.

My Background

My journey in software development began after completing my Computer Science degree at LMU Munich in 2006, graduating with distinction (Diplom grade 1.5). Even during my studies, I gained initial experience as a freelance developer and consultant.

In 2008, I co-founded 30Digits GmbH in Munich. As Managing Director and Lead Developer, I built a powerful web crawler system and search platform based on Apache Lucene and Solr over five years. This technology became critical infrastructure for our clients TrustYou and Revinate.

In 2013, we sold the software to Revinate Inc., a startup in San Francisco, where I subsequently worked as Senior Software Developer. There, I further developed the web crawling infrastructure and implemented modern cloud architectures with microservices.

After a two-year journey around the world (2014-2017), I discovered my passion for web design and holistic digital solutions. Since 2017, I’ve been working as an independent software developer and web designer. My focus is on creating beautiful, functional websites with Kirby CMS and AstroJS, Android apps, and visual content creation. I offer my clients comprehensive support – from concept to design to technical implementation.

In parallel, I’ve been supporting the organization and technical execution of online and in-person seminars since 2018, and have been regularly working as a Typo3 extension developer since 2023.

I love my work and strive to be as much at peace as I am reliable and productive. Happiness, honesty, and peace are my priorities – both in life and in my work.

Functionality is key, but for me it is equally important to have a pleasant experience that makes the user happy on all levels. A beautiful interface is a big part of that.

Clear structures and simple elements make it easier to keep things pretty. At the same time, it should be as simple as possible to keep content current.

Keeping the software up to date and making sure everything works as expected is part of my culture. I check my clients' systems regularly.
